- AB - Arathi Basin. Battleground.
- AP - Arena Points. (only when speaking of cost in PvP) "Damnit! These gloves cost 2K AP and I'm 100 short. Lame :("
- AR - Arena Rating
. "An AR of 1550 is required for the boots..."
AV - Alterac Valley. Battleground.
BG - Battleground. 1 of 6 PvP battlegrounds.
Cap - Capture. A flag or control point that a player or players has(have) captured. "Cap the damn flag already!"
Def - Defend. Usually the BG leader issuing an order here. "Def GM! You've got inc!"
EotS - [Eye] Eye of the Storm. Battleground.
GY - Graveyard.
HP - Honor Points. (only when speaking of costs in PvP)
HK - Honorable Kill. Points you get for sharing in a portion of the damage done to an opposing player.
HT - Halaa Tokens. [HBT] - Halaa Battle Tokens, [HRT] (PVE) - Halaa Research Tokens. Tokens for battling in the Halaa outdoor PvP area. Since HRT are assembled via PVE drops
KB - Killing Blow. You personally fired the shot that did 'em in, 'nuf said.
LWG - [WG] Lake Wintergrasp. Outdoor PvP area (battleground).
S1-5 - Season 1-5. Can be referring to gear or seasons in general. When they say "Season X" they mean Arena gear or seasons.
SotA - [Strand or Ancients]. Strand of the Ancients. Battleground.
WSG - Warsong Gultch. Battleground.

Alliance Side:
DBAS - [AS] Dun Baldar Aid Station. Final GY at the Alliance base, loss of this forces Alliance side to spawn at the Alliance entrance to the BG.
DBNB - [NB] Dun Baldar North Bunker. One of 2 Horde objectives to take before assaulting Stormpike in his keep.
DBSB - [SB] Dun Baldar South Bunker. One of 2 Horde objectives to take before assaulting Stormpike in his keep.
SPGY - Stormpike Graveyard. One of the final objectives in the Horde push for Dun Baldar, it is generally the largest fight area outside of IBT choke point, where Horde and Alliance forces clash.
